STARTUP
DEVELOPS WORLD’S MOST ENERGY-EFFICIENT DIESEL FUEL
ACHIEVES FUEL SAVINGS OF 20.74%
WINNIPEG, Nov. 27, 2018 - Canadian cleantech energy startup, The Enezol Company (Enezol), has developed a breakthrough oil refinery process – producing diesel that achieves fuel savings of upwards of 20%, and is projected to cut
CO2 emissions by 864.4 million metric tonnes per year.
What started as a research project to discover next generation enzymatic compounds (in partnership with a Japanese firm), has transformed into an advanced refinery technology. The result of 15 years of research and development, is the world’s most energy-efficient diesel fuel: Enezol Energize Diesel.
According to company executive, David Massey, “the key to our proprietary refinery technology, resides in our Energizing Particle
Stack. This process involves bombarding the diesel distillate with specialized catalyst particles, that effectively increases the resulting fuel’s combustion efficiency.”
Through extended road tests, Enezol Energize Diesel has demonstrated
measurable fuel savings when compared to conventionally refined diesel. A transport company, ART Corp, that participated in road testing, observed 20.74% fuel savings after making the switch.
Enezol Energize Diesel requires no changes to vehicle or engine equipment, and is 100% compatible with all diesel engine applications and fuel distribution infrastructure.
